Irvine: SeaBirds truck

Please welcome my sister Becky who will be my weekly guest blogger. Due to my busy schedule, I’m not able to attend the Teller lot on Wednesdays and she volunteered to provide a weekly report.

Today’s gathering at the Teller lot turned out to be predictably sparse because of the rain. The familiar trucks like Piaggio on Wheels, Barcelona OnTheGo, The Lime Truck, and Seabirds were serving lunch. Guest trucks were BaconMania and The Flavor Rush, making their debut at the Teller Lot.

I kind of chuckled to myself that BaconMania (a truck which sells bacon) was parked right next to Seabirds (a truck which is vegan/ vegetarian). You could sort of figure out from the crowd who was waiting for which truck.

Because of the dreary weather, I wanted something hot, like soup. I think everyone else was thinking the same thing because my boss and I scored the last two bowls of Seabird’s white bean soup (and we placed our order just before noon, too!). Unfortunately for the unlucky ones, none of the other trucks were selling soup on their menu (perhaps a hint to the other trucks to add on rainy days?).

In addition to my soup, I ordered 2 of the famous avocado tacos at Seabirds to my lunch.
