The Taco Dawg invited the media and select fans to their corporate office in Santa Ana to launch their new menu. Many foodies from twitter were there, and it was nice to put a face to a user name. The items they served were the scaled down version but still delicious, and the only item we missed out on was The Hipster.

As usual, no one was serving dinner on a Sunday in Orange County. Lucky for us, Great Balls on Tire was having a special menu at The Verdugo Bar in Eagle Rock.
After a 45 min drive, we found it in a sketchy part of town. We were greeted by a homeless man peeing on the wall of the entrance.
The special balls were: Duck, Wild Boar, Indian/Bollywood, and Pad Thai.

Another cold day, and a sad day. My dog of 17 years had to be put down. She was a good dog, loveable, quiet and obedient, and will be missed.
For such a sad day, we needed comfort food. Ohforsweetssake and Shortstopbbq were at the Anaheim Farmers Market and a bowl of homemade chicken soup with a barbecue slider was perfect.
The October 22nd kick off has been moved for one day to the OC Fairgrounds. Check twitter for updates!
Angels Stadium has teamed up with gourmet food truck agency, Mobile Food Properties to debut a weekly food truck gathering titled Food Truck Tailgate.
The food trucks will offer a selection of traditional and fusion cuisines, from a variety of popular food trucks that will rotate from week to week.
The weekly lunch stop will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, in the main parking lot (at State College Blvd & Gene Autry Way) from 11am-2pm.
In true tailgate fashion, guests are encouraged to bring their own seating to enjoy lunch with fellow food truck followers & Angels fans. Admission and parking are free to the public.
The starting line-up for opening day (October 22) will feature a variety of food trucks that include:

There are good and bad points about the Ducks when they are on the road. The good part is it is possible to dine at the food trucks. The bad part is watching the game on Tivo time, and knowing the results before getting home.
The Ducks are in Columbus today, and the game started at 4: 00. By the time I pulled into the Irvine Bowl, the Ducks were down 2-0.
Piaggio had a special browned butter chicken over mashed butternut squash. Martin wanted skirt steak tacos, and Karen wanted empenadas. For dessert, I picked up some beignets from Shortstop Bbq.

Its another dreary day in the OC. I think I’m coming down with a cold, probably from hanging out in the rain yesterday.
Sadly, when I’m sick, my appetite is down. Today for lunch all I wanted was a bowl of Lentil soup from Barcelona, and an order of Lime Truck’s fried chicken oysters that Martin had yesterday.
Maybe tonight I’ll want a bigger meal.

This evening was wet, cold and rainy. It was also the debut of the Tuesday night Los Alamitos DinDin a Go-Go. The weather did not keep the regulars from getting dinner… Or dessert!
I went to Vizzi truck (who is also a hockey fan) for a serving of their special Spaghetti Carbonara.
Martin went to Lime Truck who were giving out bacon and oreo rice crispy treats. In addition, he got the Fried Chicken Oysters and the Pulled Chicken Sliders.
For dessert, we all got our Tropical Shave Ice!
