Its been a while since I’ve been to a food truck for dinner, and with a bunch of other friends.

At Rolling Sushi, we picked up the Sashimi Salad, the Spicy Tuna Chips, and the Lobster Taco.

Fullerton: Rollingsushivan, Bakery Truck

The Best Buy in Fullerton is getting busier each passing week. I’ve noticed that there are a lot of new food truck eaters who are discovering how delicious the trucks are.  There are also many “seasoned” foodies, the people who are smart enough to bring full size tables and tailgating in the parking lot to enjoy their dinner.

Tonight I went to Rolling sushi van and ordered the U Don, but forgot to take a photo. Chef Chris made another wonderful “secret menu” Salmon Cheek, which was worth the wait.

For dessert, we went to Morsels Bakery Truck where Martin picked up the  fresh Raspberry Cream Puff, and Karen & I ordered the Banana Cream dessert shot.

Secret menu item: Salmon Cheek

Anaheim: Piaggioonwheels, Chompchomptruck

It’s game 5 for the Western Conference Quarter Final Playoffs (round one) and Noble Ale Works invited Piaggioonwheels and Chompchomptruck to feed the Ducks (and Angels) fans before the game.
I ordered off the menu and ordered grilled tilapia over chimi rice. Karen ordered the special, Brasilian Fish Cakes, while Martin went to Chompchomptruck for his Kaya Coconut French Toast.

Irvine: Rancho a Go Go, Piaggio, Shortstopbbq, Chompchomptruck, Rolling Sushi, Oh For Sweets Sake

The Raise Foundation was having an event to bring awareness on child abuse prevention. About 15 OC Food Trucks were there and I stopped by a few  trucks to pick up lunch and dinner.

At Ranchoagogo, I picked up Pulled Pork sliders, then went to Shortstopbbq for a side of their “offensive” Baked beans.

At Piaggio on wheels, I ordered Argentine skirt steak with grilled vegetables over chimichurri rice, and a refreshing Hibiscus Rose water Lychee tea from Chompchomptruck.

We stopped at Rolling Sushi Van for a Sashimi Salad (not pictured) and  Spicy Yellowtail handrolls.
Lastly, we picked up a “naked”  (no frosting) sweet potato cupcake from Ohforsweetssake.

Costa Mesa: Piaggio on Wheels, Tropical Shave Ice

Tofu & zuchinni
a snow capped melona – vanilla tropical shave ice

One of the more popular Thursday lunch spots in Orange County is at the OC Fair. Martin was off on Spring Break and we went to Piaggio on wheels for their lunch special.

I wanted to try the pork from the Porker Sandwich (rosemary infused pork loin), but didn’t want the bread. I customized it by putting it over the chimichurri rice & zucchini. Martin ordered the chimi skirt steak version, and I ordered a tofu version for my coworker.

For dessert… My favorite: a snow capped melona-vanilla Tropical Shave Ice!
