Martin took off to Lake Forest Lanes and I met up with Karen at Los Alamitos. My in laws John & Lisa met me there and had Lomo Arigato (not pictured).
The Lime truck had “Meat & Potatoes” which was a very rare steak served over truffled garlic mashed potatoes. The White Rabbit also was there and I FINALLY got my order of pork lumpia (it only took 4 attempts) and split it (with an order of Lomo noodles) with Karen.
Johnny was there and he ordered the jambalaya from Crazy Creole Cafe. The order took twenty minutes, but he forgave them since they were a new truck. He also picked up the Jack Daniel cake for dessert.
For me, I’m not that adventurous. I kept to my Melona-Vanilla Tropical Shave ice.

The farmers market at The Great Park was not very busy today. Then again, it was a rather dreary day with a chance of rain.
Martin and Karen went for Crepes Bonaparte while I went for Barcelona onthego’s Spanish frittata consisting of potato, sun dried tomatoes & artichoke hearts, the Spanish french toast and a side of fried eggs.
After brunch, Karen and I went to Cypress for Shave Ice and to support a Toms shoes
charity event to “Adopt a Family”.

I won tickets to the CHOC event held at Knotts Berry Farm (see flyer in my event page). There were two trucks I’ve never tried, Tornado Potato and Rolling Sushi & Yogurt Van.
I started off with my favorite Greasy Weiner, and Martin picked up the Rolling Ball, a spicy tuna & crab inside an edible soy paper cup. He also ordered the Rainbow Roll which also came with edemame, salad & soup. A lady next to us ordered the spicy tuna roll, which liked delish.
While Martin ate his sushi, I went to Tornado Potato and Surfer Taco Co. Finally we ended our day at Chomp Chomp Nation. We bumped into @sidelinepunk in line and he ordered the Singapore sloppy joe & the S’mores. Martin ordered the Kaya French Toast, and I ordered the Crispy Shrimp and the Crab Shooter.

It’s been a while since I’ve visited a Gourmet truck… Two days, I think?
Tonight, Crepes Bonaparte partnered up with Piaggio & Calbi bbq at “Attic” in Buena Park. The special tonight was the Osso Bucco, and I also picked up the Pork sliders.
Karen went to Crepes and ordered the Ham & Egg crepe, and I got the Butter & Sugar crepe. Christian tried something new by using foil to package the crepe. It was more pretty than practical.
While eating at Buena Park, Karen & I decided it was still early enough to make a trip to Carson to get a Halo Halo from Tropical Shave Ice. I also picked up a container of Matzo soup from Canter’s, which I enjoyed at home.
