Tonight the Ducks pushed back the game time from 7:00 to 7:30 pm. That extra time allowed us the opportunity to grab some comfort food from Rolling Sushi Van before the game.
We ordered Tempura Udon, Tomago/ Egg, California Roll, Tuna hand roll and Lobster tacos.

Martin wanted to stop at downtown Fullerton before the Ducks game to wish his student, Josh, congratulations for getting a job at Chunknchip. As the sign on the truck suggest, we had dessert first with a Booyah.
While waking back to our car, we spotted new truck, Swinging Door on Amerige. Like most new GFTS, they were experiencing truck problems like uneven heat on the stove, missing items, and even a locked cash register.
I had a duck over risotto, and Martin ordered a medley of tacos: shrimp, chicken, and tilapia.

Rolling sushi van is making this a monthly stop, and I forgot how much I missed the market.
Karen and I met up here when we saw the Fullerton PD broke up the Chuckwagon Stop. We both ordered our favorite tempura udon, she added tomago egg, and I added the lobster taco. I took a sashimi salad home for Martin.

This week’s guest trucks, aside from the usual five (BOTG, Piaggio, LimeTruck, Dos Chinos, Seabirds) were Lee’s Philly and Oh For Sweet’s Sake.
One of many great things about living in Southern California is the variety of authentic Asian cuisine. Unfortunately, whenever I travel to Europe, asian cuisine in countries such as Italy, France and Spain pales in comparison.
I’m heading out on vacation and will be spending the next few weeks in Italy. I was super excited when Rolling Sushi Van tweeted that they would be at the Teller today, so I could get my last minute Asian food fix!
My co-workers and I all ordered their sashimi salad. My boss also ordered the Salmon Cali roll and I also ordered a shrimp tempura hand roll.

Dr. Jerry Weichman PH.D. will give a lecture on Parents & Educators: Learn How To Deal With Teenagers at Cornelia Connelly School on March 2 at 7:00 pm at 2323 West Broadway in Anaheim, CA.
For this occasion, 6 GFT’s of OC have been invited to serve food for the occasion before the event from 5:00-6:30 pm.
All of participating trucks will donate 10% of our sales proceeds to Connelly.

Lime truck keeps raising the bar with new food items. Today’s plated special was karobuta pork bellies with sauteed brussels sprouts, carrots with a grain mustard demi glace.
Martin picked up the bacon tempura roll from The OC Food Truck, and Johnny got the bacon wrapped hot dogs from Piaggio.
I’m not sure what Karen had for dinner, but she ended her evening with Tropical Shave Ice… So ono!

Today there were many food trucks that were out at regular gatherings and charity festivals. Unfortunately, I had errands to do, including taking Lulu to the S-paw for a bath & groom.
Luckily, for dinner two trucks were rolling to the Bootleggers Brewery in Fullerton, which is a few minutes from my place. We braved the icy cold night for Spudrunners and Rolling Sushi Van.
At Spudrunners, I ordered the special of the day: potato pancakes, and Martin ordered the chili to warm up.
At Rolling Sushi, Karen picked up her usual tempera udon (not pictured) and added tomago (sweet egg) sushi. I tried the Spider Roll, which is made with soft shell crab, and Martin and I shared the Kobe beef salad.

The Ducks are playing the Minnesota Wild, and we are debuting newly acquired goalies Dan Ellis and Ray Emery.
Flavor Rush was at the Noble Ale, and I ordered the Tri Tip slider and the Pork slider with a side of fries.Karen picked the Ham and Cheese on a toasted croissant.
