WESTWOOD—Resident and visiting foodies will be delighted to hear that The Lime Truck will be opening a restaurant on Thursday, November 1 in the area.

The vendor, known for its popular tacos, nachos and carnitas fries will be opening TLT Food, a 105-seat restaurant at 1116 Westwood Blvd.  The Stand, which previously occupied the location, closed in late September.
According to the company’s website, TLT Food is described as “a fast-casual, chef driven dining destination to come spend amongst friends.”  The site claims much of the elements that were successful on the truck have been maintained for the restaurant while adding wine and beer to the menu.
Daniel Shemtob, Owner and Head Chef at TLT Food, claims his business uses organic and sustainably sourced ingredients to create the made from scratch dishes.
Shemtob’s business, which has been in operation since June 2010, also has won awards as The Lime Truck was the 2011 winner of “The Great Food Truck Race.”  It was also voted best new restaurant in 2010 by OC Weekly.  In addition, the TLT has been rated 4.5 out of 5 stars by over 450 customers on Yelp.
The menu, which ranges in price from $4 to $13, can be viewed at www.tltfood.com/menu/.
