WELCOME TO The Color Run™ Los Angeles

The Color Run™ 5k is going down Saturday February 2nd 2013 at Dodger Stadium!  The only question is “Are you ready for the craziest, most colorful, 5k of your life?” You bet you are. Race it solo or form a “color team” of 4+ members. Check out the race details below & we’ll see you all squeaky clean at the start line. The Color Run™ in LA is awesome!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Color Run™ event is a unique experience focused less on speed and more on crazy color fun with friends and family. Color Runners come from all different ages, shapes, sizes, and speeds; but everyone toeing the start line has a blast. Whether you are a casual morning mall walker or an Olympic athlete, the 3 miles of The Color Run™ course will be the most memorable and colorful run of your life! (If you have more questions about how it all works, check out our “ABOUT” page.)

RACE RULES *start times at 9am and 2pm

Rule #1 All participants are welcome… fast, slow, runner, walker, old, and young.
Rule #2 White shirt dress code at the official start line and ready to roll.

Rule #3 Enjoy the completely colored Picasso-painting madness at the finish.

MCAS Miramar to Host First Gourmet Food Truck Gathering on a Military Base
San Diego, CA – January 8th, 2013 – MCAS Miramar welcomes gourmet food
trucks to their base today, as a temporary solution to provide lunch service while their main food court is closed for renovation. Four gourmet food trucks will be parked in front of the Marine Corps Exchange store daily from 11am to 2pm, now through April 2013.

MCAS has contracted with Curbside Bites
(http://www.curbsidebites.com/) to schedule and manage the daily
gathering. Curbside Bites currently manages 6 other weekly gourmet
food truck gatherings in San Diego County.

Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race” veterans Crepes Bonaparte (http://crepesbonaparte.com/) and Devilicious (http://deviliciousfoodtruck.com/) are scheduled to make regular stops at the base, along with many of San Diego’s other
local favorite gourmet food trucks.

Jay and Karen of Bacon Mania Truck have taken over the Shortstop restaurant in Fullerton. A grand re-opening is set for Friday and Saturday. They have tweaked the menu slightly, and the look. Karen says: “We’re adding more traditional BBQ joint menu items like rack of ribs and 1/2 chicken. We’re expanding our take & bake menu for easy party pick-ups. We’ve got some crossover items that BACON MANia fans might be excited to find on the menu as well, like bacon-wrapped chicken wings and bacon mac & cheese.”

Note: If you’re using google GPS, don’t rely on it too much once you reach Placentia Avenue.  The restaurant is located behind the Jack in the Box.  The GPS may direct you to apartments.
