The Chuckwagon at Carter Bowl was postponed, so the location got rerouted to Amerige & Harbor in downtown Fullerton.
Martin was already at Doschinos with a student, and they ordered the Doschinos Breakfast Taco, which is steak, rice, chorizo and an egg on top, the Bolsa (pork belly) burrito, and the Hollywood taco, a thai curry chicken taco.
While they went to Chunknchip for dessert, I ordered my Doschinos meal, but off the menu.. Pork bellies over garlic rice. Only the “true” Dos Chinos fans know about this 🙂

Los Alamitos: the Lime Truck, Chomp chomp truck
The Lime Truck posted they were serving a Duroc pork flat iron steak. It’s always my go-to meal at the Lime Truck when they offer pork. Since the pork is made to order, I went to the Chompchomptruck for the Tofu Satay…. sort of an appetizer before the grand meal.

Today is Presidents Day and I noticed that Devilicious Truck (@deviliciousfood) was rolling in San Diego for lunch.
The hour and a half drive from Orange County was simply beautiful, and I found the truck at High Bluff near Del Mar, which is their usual Monday stop.
I ordered their special of the day, the Chicken Pot Pie “Yummies” , the soup of the day (Corn chowder), and the Truffle Tots.
While dining on my food, the gal made her son a Corned Beef & Grilled Cheese sandwich. I’m not sure if that is a menu item, but it looked tasty.

Karen and I went to see a matinee of “The King’s Speech” and wanted something to eat afterward. On Twitter we noticed food trucks at The Other Door in North Hollywood.
It took about an hour to get there from Anaheim and we started at The Yummy One with Karen picking the Bimbimbap and me with a Bulgogi Rice Bowl.
While waiting for our food, I spotted a guy at the Jersey Grub ordering sweet potato fries and a Fat Darrell, which looked massive and messy!
After eating our Yummy meal, Karen went to Lake Street Creamery for a scoop of the cold hot cocoa, which is basically really good chocolate ice cream. I stopped at Canters and picked up a Corned Beef sandwich on rye to have for dinner.

There is a fundraiser going on today benefiting Redondo Union High (R U High) at 655 Harbor Dr from 11-8 pm.
Trucks scheduled are Barbie’s Q (@barbiesq), Surfer Taco (@thesurfertaco), Ragin Cajun (@cajunonwheels), Morocknrolltruk, South Philly (@southphillyexp) & Chunk n Chip. Nom Nom truck double booked and was a no show.
Karen was the group scout & gathered food for us at Barbie’s and at Surfer Taco.
The theme today was PORK. At Barbie she picked up the Q Sampler (pulled pork, smoked chicken with bbq beans), the Mac & Jack (macaroni & cheese topped with pulled pork) and at Surfer taco she picked up a 3 pack of carnitas tacos.
Morocknrolltruk & Philly were still prepping, so Karen just left while the food was still warm.

The Food truck Friday was at OCEA and Dos Chinos, Crepes Bonaparte, Shortstop Bbq and Tropical Shave Ice were there. Baconmania broke down and was unable to make it.
Anytime there is an event that I am the coordinator, I get butterflies, so I don’t really have much of an appetite. I just snacked on a Butter & Sugar Crepe, and a small Shave Ice.
The event was a success, and I hope everyone had a great time.
