How can anyone stay indoor when living in Southern California? Today Karen, Linda and I met up at OC Great Park.

Barcelona onthego had two new items: Egg & chorizo breakfast tacos and crispy shrimp (which I think is wrapped with prosciutto).

Linda went to the Rollingsushivan and picked up the spicy tuna chips, and we watched Chef Chris demonstrate how to make sushi.

I also went to the Tamale stand and ordered the pork tamale.

Another beautiful day in Southern California, and a reason to find a food truck. Today we went to SoCo in Costa Mesa for brunch.

Martin went to Swinging Kitchen and ordered the Dirty Rice with steak, and a Tilapia taco from Piaggio on wheels.

I went to Rancho a Go Go for the Pork Sliders with slaw, and a Banana Cream Puff for dessert at Morsels Bakery Truck.

Today was the debut of the Apple ipad 2, and Martin wanted one. Fortunately there were food trucks at the Best Buy Fullerton, and lucky for me Rolling Sushi Van was serving non meat items for those observing Lent.

The special taco of the day was the Baked Salmon, which Linda ordered. Martin ordered the Sashimi Salad, and Karen & I ordered our usual Udon (not pictured) before going to Morsels Bakery Truck for our Banana Cream Dessert Shots.

This location will be hosted by @Baconmania. 
I was not able to get a flyer of the latest lineup.
Rollingsushivan was the only one who had this on their schedule. Please check with various trucks to make sure someone will be there.

Tonight Dogzilla and Rolling Sushi van were at Noble Ale Works, to feed the hungry fans watching the Lakers/ Heat game.

Rolling Sushi is no longer serving yogurt, and the van now reads “Rolling Sushi Van and Rolls”.

From Rolling Sushi, we ordered the Noble Albacore, Spicy Tuna handroll, and (not pictured) Udon. While eating, Chef Chris let us try something that won’t be on the menu… A spicy tuna on rice that was grilled on Dogzilla’s truck.

From Dogzilla, we ordered the original Dogzilla and a side of garlic tots.

We have gourmet food trucks, art and craft vendors,live music, comedy, and lots of raffle prizes to giveaway from the local NoHo merchants.  We have 3 great grand prizes,which include, 2 Hotels in Palm Spring which includes a 2 night stay, and a doggie booster bath for dogs (bath tub) .  

Portion of the proceeds will go to muttmatchla, a local dog rescue(our favorite cause) that saves dogs from shelters that are red lined (ready to be put down).  Muttmatch will also be at this event with some of her wonderful dogs looking for homes.

Martin wanted to stop at downtown Fullerton before the Ducks game to wish his student, Josh, congratulations for getting a job at Chunknchip. As the sign on the truck suggest, we had dessert first with a Booyah.

While waking back to our car, we spotted new truck, Swinging Door on Amerige. Like most new GFTS, they were experiencing truck problems like uneven heat on the stove, missing items, and even a locked cash register.

I had a duck over risotto, and Martin ordered a medley of tacos: shrimp, chicken, and tilapia.

Anaheim: Rolling sushi van

I used to go to the Anaheim Farmers market a lot, when Crepes Bonaparte and Oh For Sweets Sake were there.

Rolling sushi van is making this a monthly stop, and I forgot how much I missed the market.

Karen and I met up here when we saw the Fullerton PD broke up the Chuckwagon Stop. We both ordered our favorite tempura udon, she added tomago egg, and I added the lobster taco. I took a sashimi salad home for Martin.

March 2, Food Trucks for dinner in Anaheim, Cornelia Connelly School

Dr. Jerry Weichman PH.D. will give a lecture on Parents & Educators: Learn How To Deal With Teenagers at Cornelia Connelly School on March 2 at 7:00 pm at 2323 West Broadway in Anaheim, CA.

For this occasion, 6 GFT’s of OC have been invited to serve food for the occasion before the event from 5:00-6:30 pm.

All of participating trucks will donate 10% of our sales proceeds to Connelly.

New lunch venue on Wednesdays in HB at Golden West College
