Aug 18: Fullerton, Rosary High School

Rosary Food Truck Feast

Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

This Saturday August 18, Rosary High School will host its first ever Royal Food Truck Feast. What is a food truck feast, you ask? It’s when two or more gourmet food trucks get together to serve their delicious offerings to the hungry masses. And just in case you are not a foodie, gourmet food trucks have been the hottest culinary trend across the country for the last few years.

Five gourmet food trucks will be featured at the Rosary Food Truck Feast this Saturday, August 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. offering a variety of gastronomic delights. Most food trucks have a niche menu that defines their cuisine and drives thousands of loyal fans to follow their every move on Twitter. And, unlike traditional brick and mortar restaurants, food trucks often change their menus daily so you can most certainly try something new and exotic. Here is a brief description of what each truck featured at Rosary this Saturday has to offer:

Piaggio – Orange County’s only Argentine gourmet food truck offers empanadas, skirt steak tacos, and some of the most flavorful sandwiches you could ever imagine. Be sure to try the South American signature side, chimichurri fries.

Rolling Sushi – Why drive to the sushi bar when the sushi bar can drive to you? Featuring the freshest fish possible, Rolling Sushi serves up your favorite hand rolls, Nigiri sushi, and cut rolls along with an impressive array of daily specials.

YummmMobile – It has to be good if there are four Ms in a row in the truck’s name, right? If you are a fan of Red Robin restaurants, then you will love the YummmMobile as they bring their most popular burgers to Rosary High School.

Bakery Truck – It wouldn’t be a proper feast without dessert, and Bakery Truck offers a decadent selection of homemade cupcakes, cream puffs, and chocolate chip cookies to tempt your sweet tooth.

Chunk-N-Chip – What happens when a gourmet food truck offers an assortment of freshly baked cookies like snicker doodle, red velvet, and chocolate chip, plus a rainbow of hand dipped ice cream flavors? That’s right, delicious ice cream sandwiches. Whether you choose one from the menu like The Elvis (bananas foster ice cream and warm candied bacon between two peanut butter cookies) or you create your own concoction, Chunk-N-Chip is a perfect summer treat.

In addition to the amazing food trucks visiting Rosary High School on Saturday there will also be music and a collection of race cars, muscle cars, and go carts from Alvis Race Cars on display. Unlike most food truck events, the Rosary Food Truck Feast will feature plenty of shaded seating and restrooms for everyone to enjoy.

The Rosary Food Truck Feast begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. There will be plenty of free parking off Melody Lane. We look forward to seeing you there. For more information about the Royal Food Truck Feast, to see the latest food trucks added to the lineup, or if you are a food truck vendor interested in participating, please contact Mrs. Meagan Flynn, Director of Special Events at 714.879.6302 or via email.
