July 21: San Diego Brew Fest

The 2nd annual San Diego Brew Fest returns to Liberty Station, and promising another fun filled day with beer, food trucks, and music.   The event will feature dozens of local local and international craft beers, as well as San Diego’s most popular food trucks (food sold separately).  

  
Admission is $40 for general admission (3pm to 6pm) and $50 for VIP (2pm to 6pm) and include the beer tastings.  
The San Diego Brew Fest’s proceeds will benefit Noah’s B-ark Pet Rescue (95-4677862) whose aim is to rescue dogs from shelters and find permanent homes for rescued pets.  Proceeds from the event will go towards funding food, shelter and veterinary bills for rescued pets.

This new festival is still in the planning stages. We will post information about it at a later date, probably sometime in late April.

Date: Friday-Sunday, June 24-26, 2011
Time: Friday, 5:00-9:00PM;
Saturday (two sessions), 11:00AM-3:00PM or 4:00-8:00PM
Sunday, 1:00-5:00PM
Location: Chevrolet Del Mar Arena
Prices: $45.00 per session, which includes Fair admission.
$32.00 per session, without Fair admission (for those with Fair season passes, for instance), available at the beer festival entrance.
These prices include a souvenir tasting cup and a wristband that entitles the wearer to unlimited one-ounce samplings of beer entered in the festival competition. You must be 21 or older to purchase wristband vouchers.
Where to buy tickets: Tickets are on sale at the Fairgrounds Box Office, located on the north side of the Main Parking Lot. Hours are 10:00AM to 6:00PM Tuesday through Saturday. During the Fair, the packages described above are on sale at the Fair’s Concert Ticket Booths. Tickets also may be purchased online through Ticketmaster (an extra convenience fee will apply for online purchases).

“Food Truck Food Court” will be at San Diego Comic-Con

A “Food Truck Food Court” will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year, greatly increasing the number of dining/eating options at SDCC!  Here are the details:

  • Location: The lot located at the 1st/Island/2nd/J lot.
  • When: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (some trucks will be there on Sunday but most won’t)
  • They will be selling from 10:00 am-10:00 pm, although most trucks will be gone by 8:00pm
  • The entrance will be off 1st Ave, right next to the Comedy Central interactive park.  Warner Brothers and Disney will also be doing projects in the lot.
  • Trucks scheduled to be there include: Chop Sooey, Patty Melt, Super Q, Asian Persuasion, Two For The Road, Devilicious, SD Street Eats, Flippin Pizza and Green Truck. This list may change!
  • Important note–there is NO public parking in the lot.
