Newest SoCal food truck: MonsieuMadame (@MMFrenchFood)
Southern California has a new food truck called Monsieur Madame (Twitter: @MMFrenchFood), and its FRENCH. Unlike food truck Crepes Bonaparte, which specializes in crepes, Monsieur Madame is focusing on the next best thing about French food: Bread and Cheese, or better yet, a Le Croque Monsieur.

Monsieur Madame is promoting French Art de vivre, Culture and Traditions
While high end French Gastronomy for plutocrats is very well represented abroad, we believe the artisan; the street food and le petit commerce are not. France and French Gastronomy is also defined by its artisans, its Charcuteries, its Fromageries, its markets and last but not least, its Boulangeries Patisseries.
It was only logic we chose a Bistro Classic, the Croque Monsieur to become the ambassador of street French Gastro, a different angle to the French art de vivre. Le Croque Monsieur can be cooked in so many ways, from the kid’s classic straight from the sandwich maker to a chef recipe or your grandma French toast Croque.
Monsieur Madame is also the life adventure of a nomad family. Monsieur and Madame have been traveling west since 2006 and arrived in Southern California in 2011.
Nissa (Madame) & Jeremie (Monsieu) Banet
While couscous remained the family’s signature dish, they were quick to adopt the French passion for cheese. Brie is Madame’s favorite. Madame interrupted her finance career in 2009 and has spent most her time cooking since. Her homemade no knead bread is fantastic. In 2014, Madame decided to share her mixed flavors and passion for food with Californians. Monsieur Madame was born, and she would be the chef.
Monsieur’s family has its roots in Alsace and Poland. His grandmother used to make the best strudel in Paris and would bait her grandkids with chocolate to teach them how to put a foot in front of the other. His other grandmother Odette Kahn was writing cookbooks before it was fashionable and launched the famous French specialized magazine “Cuisine et vins de France”. In 2014, monsieur decided to put an end to his career as an investor, to step off the treadmill. It was time to follow his heart and joined Madame.
