Be on TV: Eat Street on location in SoCal

Eat St. On Location: California Dreaming

Most people go to Los Angeles seeking fame and fortune. We’re going seeking ramen burgers and homemade pierogies. Come along for the ride as we cruise into the City of Angels to visit some of L.A.’s most talked-about food trucks. It’s a West Coast food fest you won’t soon forget.

MOE Deli
Date: Tuesday, October 29
Location: 12200 West Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
Filming time: 12:00 p.m.
MOE stands for Montreal Open-ended Eggrolls, but Chef Michael also calls his cuisine “Jewnese”. Inspired by the intermingling Chinese and Jewish food scenes in his native Montreal, Chef Michael and his hilarious wife Emily are invigorating L.A.’s street food scene one totally unique deep-fried pastrami sandwich at a time!

What they will cook for us:
The Big MOE: Char-siu BBQ brisket with a mango, carrot, red onion slaw with sambal for a bit of spice deep-fried to order and served with a house-made chinese aoili for dipping. The brisket is braised in garlic, ginger, five- spice, soy sauce and various asian sauces and slow-cooked for four hours.
The Reuben: Sliced pastrami on MOE slaw, served with housemade Russian dipping sauce. A total reinvention of the classic pastrami sandwich.

Me So Hungry

Location: 11766 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
Filming time: 12:00 p.m.
Ramen burger! Need we say more? Designed as a burger that tastes exactly like a steaming hot bowl of ramen, this signature dish is not to be missed! The rest of the Me So Hungry menu rides that LA-line between sinfully delicious street food and cuisine for the more beach-body-minded. Regardless of which camp you fall into, you’re sure to find something that will make your mouth happy.

What they will cook for us:
The Ramen Burger: The spicy miso shiitake ramen burger comes with a perfectly cooked angus patty, a secret spicy miso reduction demiglaze, seasoned shiitake mushrooms, a blend of greens, and a slice of hard boiled egg all nestled between two (grilled) ramen noodle buns. Includes a hot side of spicy miso ramen broth for dipping.
KTM Sliders: Marinated shortribs with pepper jack cheese, crispy onions and spicy creme fraiche on brioche buns. KTM stands for Kitchen-To- Mouth and they mean it!
PB&J Burger: Peanut butter, jelly, sriracha, bacon and cheddar slider on a brioche bun. This fun, clever twist on a classic is a signature dish!

A Special Message From The Sheriff

To my fellow Lime-Aids,

I would like to thank you for all the support and love you have given the brand since day one. It’s been a little over 3 years and we’ve turned our one humble truck into three, and have opened two brick and mortars with another soon to come in Orange County within the year. Throughout our steady climb, one thing has been certain — that without you, our customers and loyal supporters, we would never have made it to where we are today. So, I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Please let me know if you ever need anything at all, and come visit us again soon. Try one of our new specials, and use the coupons below to get a little something back from me.

Thanks again and please don’t hesitate to contact us for any of your catering needs!

Warm regards,
Daniel Shemtob
