IRVINE – The Orange County Great Park invites the community to celebrate the harvest season by helping local families fight hunger by supporting the Great Park Food Drive. Visitors to the Great Park are encouraged to bring canned or packaged non-perishable food items to one of two collection points at the Great Park, now through Sunday, November 24.
The month-long Great Park Food Drive raced out to a successful start at the Great Park’s Pumpkin Harvest event on Saturday, October 26. More than 1,560 pounds of food were donated by visitors at the family friendly event. Cash donations totaling more than $3,200 were also collected. The cash donations will provide 9,761 meals to families in need.
